From Zoe who was a cliché of a middle-aged woman who knew nothing about technology, to her budding actress daughter, to the apologetic still-in-love ex-husband and the troubled police officer. I didn’t love any of the characters in this book. You’re so unaware of just how predictable you are. I would have been the perfect candidate for. Just like this book points out, I would arrive at the same time, stand at the same place on the platform, and sit in the same carriage every day, both to and from work. The idea that someone is tracking your daily routine was really creepy and brought me back to my own commute I used to do for my old job.

I enjoyed it more than I thought I would! I’m so glad to have finally “read” this one. It was only until 25 in Five this past weekend that I really sat down and gave it a good try. Even though the book quickly got off the ground with the mystery, I had issues concentrating on it. So I downloaded this audiobook back in August 2018 and I’d been listening to it in chunks ever since then.

Is it a mistake? A coincidence? Or is someone keeping track of every move they make…
